EAST sleeps 2 + 1 + 13* All 4 Haunn cottages (Toechtamhor, East, Middle and West) change over on Saturdays. Guests are invited to arrive after 5pm on the Saturday afternoon at the beginning of their holiday and must depart on the Saturday morning by 10am at the end of their holiday.
EAST The entrance leads into a charming open plan kitchen-living room with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs with antique carved pew and an attractive farmhouse sideboard. Comfortable fireside seating - daybed and armchair - by the wood burning stove, with cupboards housing a variety of games and books. The bedroom has a king sized bed (made locally using reclaimed English oak and pine). An extra futon can be put in here to sleep + 1. This room, with wooden floor and rugs, gives access to the ceramic tiled bathroom with shower, W.C. and washbasin (making East more suited to single family occupancy). There are outstanding views over the Haunn fields to Treshnish Point from both living room and bedroom. East shares its fenced garden and washing line with the other 2 ‘blackhouses’ but has its own table/bench. For more information about the Haunn location, please go to Middle. East Floor Plan (Please Note: there is no Box bed in East living room, this plan is out of date now in that respect! Instead there is a comfortable day bed by the fireside to sleep + 1)
HEATING:
EAST, MIDDLE and WEST all have electric underfloor heating in their
livingrooms, convector heaters in the bathrooms and Duoheat heaters in
the bedrooms. |
