Treshnish and Haunn Cottages Booking Procedure:
  1. Please check availability using this link to our Web site Availability Chart for 2008 Please contact us by email or phone to double check BEFORE sending deposit and booking form.
  2. Once availability is confirmed and your provisional booking made with us by telephone or email, please click here for Treshnish and Haunn Cottages booking conditions. Please complete send with £100 deposit per week per cottage to secure the reservation. You can pay by cheque or by giving your credit card details. Completion of the booking form assumes that you have carefully read the cottage details and booking conditions.
  3. Once your deposit and booking details have been received we will post confirmation of the booking and a receipt.

Booking Conditions - Please Retain for Information
Payments by Credit card are now taken but not on-line. Please download a booking form from the website and complete the credit card section. We only accept credit cards for cottage rents. Extras payable at the end of your stay (such as electricity and coal et cetera) must be paid by cheque or with cash. Please post the completed booking form to us in order to confirm your provisional booking. A receipt will be sent.
  1. DEPOSITS.                                                                                                                     
    £100 non returnable deposit per cottage per week is required within 7 days of provisional booking. We advise that guests take out holiday insurance at time of booking.
  2. BALANCES.                                                                                                                    
    The balance is due one full month before the arrival date, except for group bookings (2 or more cottages) when balances are due 2 months before arrival.
  3. CANCELLATIONS.                                                                                                          
    In the event of a cancellation we cannot in any circumstances return the deposit but if we manage to relet the cottage we will return any balance already paid. We strongly advise that guests take out holiday insurance.
  4. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES:
    Guests for the Treshnish Cottages (SHIAN DUILL STUDIO AND SHEILING) are welcome to arrive after 5pm on Friday and must depart by 10am on the morning of departure.
     
  5. Guests for the Haunn Cottages (TOECHTAMHOR EAST MIDDLE AND WEST) are welcome to arrive after 5pm on Saturday and must depart by 10am on the morning of departure..
  6. BEDLINEN.                                                                                                                   
    Bedlinen is provided but please indicate on the booking form if you require towels (£2.50 p.p). Towels are provided in Studio, Toechtamhor and Shieling.
  7. CLEANING.                                                                                                          
    Ecological cleaning materials are provided so that guests can leave the cottage as clean as they find it. (We reserve the right to charge guests for extra cleaning should the cottage require it on departure.)
  8. EXTRAS.                                                                                                                      
    Coal, oil (metered), electricity (metered) , gas (metered) and any hiring of towels (optional) are payable at the end of the holiday to Mrs. CM Charrington.
  9. PETS.                                                                                                                              
    A maximum of 2 dogs per cottage are permitted by arrangement, and on the understanding that they do not get onto furniture, and are not left unattended in the cottage at any time, are wormed and treated for fleas before arrival, and are walked on a lead at all times (because we are an organic stock farm) Pet owners must ensure that they clean up after their pets in the cottage gardens.
  10. STANDARDS.
    The cottages are fully equipped to Visitscotland standards for the advertised number that they sleep.
  11. MAILING LIST                                                                                                              
    We do not pass on or sell on our address book. Please indicate on the booking form if you do not want us to retain your address once your booking is concluded.
  12. PAYMENTS                                                                                                                
    Please make cheques out to Mrs CM Charrington for Shian, Duill and Toechtamhor bookings and for the others please make cheques out to Mr SN Charrington.
  13. SMOKING
    ALL TRESHNISH AND HAUNN COTTAGES ARE NON SMOKING
  14.   ENTRY TO COTTAGE DURING YOUR STAY:
    Sometimes it is necessary to gain entry to the cottage in the middle of a week (for example to allow for routine appliance testing or to allow tradesmen to carry out repairs).  We will always try to give notice before gaining access but we reserve the right to enter the cottage at any reasonable time without notice should the need arise    .     
  15. BREAKAGES:
    Any damages or breakages will be charged at local rates which might be higher or lower than you would expect to pay elsewhere.
